Editorial Standards

All submissions should be:

  • Original and unpublished.
  • Between 1,800 and 2,200 words unless otherwise agreed with the editorial team.
  • Fact-based and supported by credible sources.
  • Written in professional British English.
  • Structured with clear headings and logical flow.
  • Objective, balanced, and evidence-driven.
  • Properly referenced where statistics, quotations, or external research are used.

Tourism Reporter reserves the right to edit all accepted submissions for clarity, accuracy, consistency, style, SEO, and editorial quality.


Use of AI

Tourism Reporter recognises that contributors may use AI-assisted tools during the writing process.

However, contributors remain fully responsible for:

  • the originality of their work;
  • factual accuracy;
  • source verification;
  • proper attribution; and
  • compliance with copyright and ethical journalism standards.

Submissions containing fabricated information, inaccurate citations or misleading AI-generated content will be rejected.

Upon publication, Tourism Reporter receives the right to publish, archive, promote and distribute the article across its platforms.

Requests to republish published content elsewhere should be discussed with the editorial team beforehand and must include appropriate attribution to Tourism Reporter.
